Sieumuy Lim
Bookkeeper
Sieumuy Lim is a bookkeeper for United Ways of California. She was born and raised in Cambodia where she attended high school and managed the family business selling watches and jewelry. She came to the United States in 2007, and became a citizen in 2013.
Sieumuy worked for Khmer Girls in Action, in Long Beach, as an office assistant/executive director assistant and then as a bookkeeper. She joined United Ways of California in 2012 as a bookkeeper. In addition to dedicating her time to her job and her two children, she volunteers at her son’s school helping the teachers and preparing food for the children. Her desire is to learn and make things better by showing compassion, kindness and generosity and respect for all people. Sieumuy understands the challenges of an immigrant and of low-income families trying to make ends meet. She believes education, health, and financial stability are the ways to help people get out of poverty, perform better in school and enjoy better health. Reaching these goals will boost the economy by putting more money in the economy and providing a safer in community environment.
