Danielle Bautista is the Policy & Coalition Manager at United Ways of California. Southern California born and raised, she’s now based in sunny San Diego.

Her responsibility is to build relationships with diverse partners and policymakers to achieve the organization’s mission. Personally and professionally, she’s passionate about reforming the public benefits cliff, ensuring the tax system is more equitable, and closing the racial wealth gap.

Prior to this role, she worked at national nonprofits to improve economic equity, increase access to financial education, and incorporate more voices at the decision-making table.

She holds a Master’s degree in Diplomacy with an emphasis in conflict management. In her free time, she tries new recipes, stand up paddleboards, and volunteers as a California co-regional coordinator for a grassroots advocacy organization.
