Kristen Rivera

Kristen Rivera is United Ways of California Program Coordinator for USDA’s Farm and Foodworker Relief Program. Kristen supports program implementation and serves as point of point of contact for local united ways, the public, and external organizations. Kristen’s nine years in direct services with vulnerable populations have tailored her expertise in improving responsive services within non-profit sector and federally-funding programs. Her consultant work with the Office of Trafficking of Persons has informed local community-based organizations, state entities, and national stakeholders become more equipped in identifying the needs of victims of crimes within the immigrant community and create survivor-led policies. Kristen holds a B.A. in Sociology and Latin American and Latino Studies from University of California, Santa Cruz and M.S. in Mass Communication from San Jose State University. She currently resides in Los Angeles, CA.
